Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Isaac Mizrahi Spring Summer 2011
Isaac Mizrahi presented one of the most formal lines of the Sprint / Summer 2011 with his Spring 2011 collection. One style that caught me off guard can be seen in the first designs to be presented on the runway.
From a distance, the outfit looks like a business suit or a jacket with a collar but upon closer inspection you can see that it is a print on another garment – not sure what I’m talking about – take a close look at the images :)
Front row guests included Olympic figure skater (and soon to be designer) Johnny Weir, actress Yaya DeCosta, fashion blogger Bryan Boy, and Fashion News Live creator, producer and host Rocco Lei Gaglioti.
Making history in the life of Hananexposures studio, this is the first ever blog post from 30,000 feet :)

Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Argentina Group Pablo Ramirez Spring Summer 2011
The final designer to walk under the Argentina umbrella was Pablo Ramirez. Pablo’s creations for the S/S 2011 line are just as unique and adventurous as previous lines back as far as 2000.
With incredibly bold statements giving more than a mere whisper to the sources of inspiration, this collection is impossible to forget.

Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Argentina Group Maria Pryor Spring Summer 2011
The second last designer to showcase their collection from the Argentina Group was Maria Pryor. While growing up Maria would go with her dad to hear him sing opera and later she studied art and fashion design in Milan.
With the exposure to the operatic world at a young age, it is easy to get a glimpse into some of her sources of inspiration. Her S/S 2011 collection combines pieces that are dramatic, and even cinematic, along with more feminine elements all working together to yield distinctive creations.

Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Argentina Group Evangelina Bomparola Spring Summer 2011
Evangelina Bomparola was the third designer to showcase under Argentina Group. Born in 1968, Evangelina studied communications and worked as a Fashion Producer and a journalist before going to Hermès as Head of Communications, reporting to Paris.
In 2002, Evangelina launched her own brand of tailor-made clothes, and in 2003 opened the doors in her first boutique.

Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Argentina Group La Dolfina Spring Summer 2011
Six designers from Argentina had a collective showing under the umbrella “Argentina Group”. First out on the runway was La Dolfina with their latest in the finest gear you will ever need for playing Polo.
Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Mackage Spring Summer 2011
Mackage was the second presentation I photographed during Fashion Week and the packed room of fans and media loved the collection from beginning to end as the models rotated between the three stages.
One other side benefit of a presentation over a runway show is it allows the designer the opportunity to serve Champagne as was the case with Mackage.
Towards the end of my time at the presentation I had the pleasure to meet Miyako, the Shiseido makeup artist for the collection, and Shiseido Beauty Solution Development Center manager Junko Kurosaka from Tokyo.
